About the event
During this series, cohorts of fathers and sons will take to the wild to learn essential aspects of wilderness survival, deepen connections and intimacy with each other, and develop a profound sense of self-belonging in the world. From mauka (mountain) to makai (sea), all workshops in the series operate in the beautiful and wild Kona district on the west side of Hawai’i Island. The practices of the Core Routine of Deep Nature Connection will guide us on this adventure to explore the vast landscapes of our outer and inner worlds!
Workshop 3 - Shelter Building, Date~November 5 & 6:
In this workshop, father and son pairs will learn different techniques and designs for constructing debris shelters. After which, participants are invited to put their skills to the test by building a shelter that they spend the night in. Learn the skills to be at home wherever you are! ~ Overnight…
