Fire is the theme of our first workshop in the Nature Connection Series. The participants will be invited to learn ancient fire skills. We will focus on building the students' relationship with fire and using ancestral knowledge to unleash it from materials naturally found around us.

For millennia, humans knew fire as a sacred gift. The skills to kindle and keep fire were passed from one generation to the next. Today, this ancient unbroken chain of teachings has the ability to directly connect each of us to our ancestors' lives and experiences. As the hands of new students coax small wisps of smoke to curl upward toward the sky slowly, links are added to that time-honored chain. A new generation of caretakers of the earth are igniting. The ancient skills of the earth are alive. Join us! Together, we can preserve the gifts offered by those who came before us.
