About the event

We will help you cultivate a connection to place through traditional mo’olele (storytelling) while developing relationships with the unique plants, birds & animals of Hawaii. We will also introduce the local wild edibles and la'au lapa'au (healing plants). Lastly,  we will discuss ways you can be successful incorporating some of these transformational nature connection practices into your life.

Each day we began by asking the forest for permission to enter, and it was amazing how our ears and eyes opened up to seeing and hearing things that we hadn't noticed before. From identifying local medicinal plants and herbs, edible foods, learning how to make a 5 minute fire, climbing trees, knife safety, shelter building, Mariah was able to cater the camp to exactly what our family was interested in.
